This course is an invaluable resource for professionals, like myself, who seek a comprehensive understanding of the diverse types of cuticles encountered in daily practice. I have long admired Julie-Anne’s expertise and knew that learning her approach would provide the skills necessary to achieve consistently beautiful results for clients. Effective cuticle work is the foundation of any nail enhancement, yet there are far more variations of cuticle and skin types than the two or three typically addressed in standard training. While I had previously completed a combined manicure course with another provider, I realised there were significant gaps in my knowledge. The limited examples of cuticle types and the reliance on numerous tools left me uncertain in my practice. Julie-Anne’s method, as she has often emphasised in her concise educational videos, proves that a simpler toolkit and a precise understanding of skin health are far more effective. This course has given me the confidence to correctly assess various cuticle and skin types, to know when gentle intervention is appropriate, and when the best course is to allow damaged areas to heal naturally. I am absolutely thrilled with this course, and I intend to revisit the material repeatedly to fully integrate this knowledge into my daily client work. My sincere thanks to Julie-Anne for providing such clear, practical, and transformative education.

Julie-Anne you have created something phenomenal! The break down in the videos make it so so easy to understand what is being done and how to tackle each skin type! If you are thinking of training in Russian manicure I would highly recommend doing so using this course, it has completely upped my prep within days…you get lots of information on which skin types to use which method which is something I’ve not seen on any other course, as a nail tech we know not all nails come to us in great condition but with this course they will leave looking their best!! Cannot recommend enough and I wish I could give more than 5 stars🩷

This course explains how to manicure different skin and cuticle types. Despite having done many courses, I have not been explained any of this so clearly before. I definitely feel more empowered to identify my clients skin types, and how to tailor the manicure to them, in order to avoid damaging their nails. Many courses teach manicures on hand models with 'normal skin' and very little cuticle, that is not reflective of real clients. This is why this course is so helpful as the hand models reflect the variety of my clients hands.

I just want to start off by saying thank you so much for putting together this course. I just feel like schools do not teach us enough! lol It’s filled with detail valuable information but also straight to the point. I can’t wait to apply what I have learned and fix the mistakes I was making.

I absolutely loved this nail course! The instructor was amazing — she explained everything in such a simple and easy-to-follow way, even though some of the content was pretty advanced. What I appreciated most was how she broke things down step by step and listed everything so clearly. It made complex techniques feel manageable and actually enjoyable to learn. This course isn’t for complete beginners, but if you already have your basics down and a general idea of how things work, it’s a total game-changer. It really helped improve my work and gave me more confidence in my skills. I love how she didn’t overcomplicate things or use unnecessary jargon — just real, practical knowledge that actually helps. Highly recommend!

This was such an amazing course sharing loads of knowledge about different skin types and how to approach each one. This is often not talked about enough (or sometimes at all) in other classes! So glad I can have a better understanding of each skin type and the right tools/techniques to complete a beautiful manicure.

This course covers something that not everyone teaches in their nail education, and that’s exactly what makes it so valuable. I strongly believe that less is more — and this course reflects that philosophy perfectly. Not every skin type needs excessive trimming, cutting, or exfoliating. What I loved most is the prescriptive approach: first assessing the skin in front of you and then deciding what it actually needs. That mindset shift is such an important lesson. Learning to observe before acting has completely changed the way I look at manicures. The results speak for themselves — especially seeing healthy regrowth when minimal cutting is done. It’s inspiring to learn from someone with so much experience working with different skin types and seeing long-term results. I truly hope more nail techs take this course and incorporate this approach into their manicure routine. I highly recommend it.
